Computer HardwareHardware has to be the thing I find most interesting about computers. Reading about the latest greatest CPU or setting up a SCSI sub-system, I love hardware. I'm constantly reading web sites to keep up in the ever-changing world of computer hardware. If you don't have the time to keep track of all the changes, I'll try to get you up to speed on what's coming, what's here, what to look out for and what to run away from. One thing to remember, computer gamers and a business end-user are using computers in different ways. What's good for one may not be good for the other. And what's bad for one may not be bad for the other. So before you flame, try to put it in context. I'll make every effort to qualify my conclusions if they are not applicable across the board. For example, '...is a great system for the office, but don't touch it with a 10 foot pole if you care about frame rates in FPSs'. |
