Here are some computer-related sites on the web I look at for fun and information

The first site I visit every day is The Register. It has all the latest news and rumors in the computer industry. Next up is Ars Technica, a great site covering a huge range of topics with hands-on experience in the field. Some other good "hardware" sites are Sharky Extreme, Tom's Hardware Guide, and AnandTech. For information on hard drives and other mass storage, head over to Storage Review. You get not only the latest news and reviews, but also head to head comparisons of drives.
