| Saturday MondayI had a good weekend. Kara and I joined my family for some bowling Saturday afternoon. I won't talk about the results, but everyone had a good time. Then that evening the guys came over for a fun filled night of gaming. On Sunday I vacuumed, cut the lawn and moved furniture between three houses while still finding time to put together some Warhammer figs and enjoy the cards eleventh win in a row. All in all, a most productive day. I say a reference to Redmond Linux on Robert Bruce Thompson's site today. Making Linux easier for non-Unix computer users had been the goal of many in the Linux community (unfortunately, others continue to try and make it as obtuse as possible ;-). I'm serious though, I think a lot of *nix people feel that if you can't figure something out reading the man pages you don't deserve to understand it. I would love Linux or any *nix to become as user friendly as Windows is to non-computer people. By non-computer I mean people who use their computer simply as a tool to get their work done. Apple is trying with OS X, but you have to have a PowerMac (and a recent one at that) to run it. *nix has come a long way in the last four years, pretty soon something is going to really catch on in the workstation space, as it already has in the server and embedded arenas.
